For many Keystone Heights residents, Lake Geneva is as much a part of the city's collective memory as the annual 'Our Country Day Parade' celebrated every 4th of July. As these photos remind us, the day may come when Keystone's small town charm will be gone with the Walmart wind. Hopefully, that day will be delayed and through the efforts of those who cherish those memories and know what will be lost, many more will come to live and enjoy Keystone Heights FL.

If you look on the bottom right-hand side of the map above you'll see where Florahome is. Keystone Heights is around 7 or 8 miles from us. You can also see where the Lake Region Monitor newspaper gets its name. Looking to the northeast of Keystone you will also find Gold Head State Park frequently mentioned on Florahome USA. Continuing down Florida State Road 100 you'll find Walgreens and Cvs, Capital City Bank, Wendys and if you go far enough there's McDonald's and Hitchcock's Groceries and many other businesses. There are also businesses all along 21 on both sides of SR 100. Notice St. Lawrence Blvd will take you straight to Lake Geneva where the photos on this post were taken.
